I added 300 minutes to my phone and it did not go through. I called tracfone customer service and experienced long wait times and had to talk to five different people, before they added the minutes I purchased.

Tracfone is a trouble free service

You just gotta love the tracfone! No contracts and the double minutes for life is awesome!! Everytime you add miutes to your phone not only are they doubled but more airtime service is added too. Who doesn't like "hassle free"?

And for a great low cost....

I washed my husbands in the washer (Not recommended) an still worked. 

Tracfone bargains

Tracphone is a good phone and it usually has good bargains for you to purchase. I was able to get one year airtime and double minutes and a new phone  besides all for the price of the one year airtime. What a bargain. Also in transferring units from the old phone to the new- customer service is more than willing to help you. Will recommend to anyone.

TracFone / ShopAtHome = Great Service

I've been using TracFone since 2004. I purchased my 2nd phone through ShopAtHome.  TracFone has good products and ShopAtHome has good service and they reward you for using their service.  What more can a person ask!

     They do have good customer support when you need to get ahold of them of any problems. most problems can be solved with a phone call (toll free number) (can call from pay phones too), you need to be prepared to enter codes in order to fix most problems if/when they occure. (can be time cosuming so allow lots of time for the phone call)  if cannot fix the problems with entering codes then they usually will send you a replacement (assuming you had it less than 1 year and not damaged by the customer) (assuming the problem is material defects like in my case) and pay postage for the old phone to be returned. If I remember right it took less than 7 days for relacemnt. The reason for my repacement was when I lost all my units for no reason, (every 2 seconds I lost two units until they were all gone and they had the records for proof I did not use the phone when I lost the units both times) then they did replace the lost units by having me enter a lot of codes, then next day, I lost all info including phone numbers, personal appointments etc. and all my units again. so they replaced it with a new one and replaced all my units. At first they were not going to replace the double minute card, but I requested it since in my case it was not fair for me to buy another card when i only had the double min. card for 3 days and did not use any of the time and they did agree with me and replaced my double min. card. (normally double min. cards are for the life of the phone), they were friendly and helpful dealing with my situation and problem solved pretty fast for my situation. (7 days or less in my situation) again like I said most problems can be fixed over the phone right away by entering codes and they take you step by step. Another thing I like about Tracfone is no contracts, deposits and if you get more units (in stores or on the internet) on it before it expires, the min. will roll over. one thing I do sugest is if you use it alot get the double min. card ASAP so all other additional cards will automaticty double your min. after you put the code in your phone. so a 60 min. card will actually be 120 min. instead. also if you have access to the internet usually every month they do have promotions, if you buy a certain card by a certain date and enter a promotional code you will get a certain amout of units free. If you get the double min. card and another card for additional time, make sure you do the DOUBLE MIN. CARD FIRST then follow up with the card to add your additional card with min. (then that card will be doubled). but if you put the min. in first then follow up with the double min. card then those min. will NOT be doubled, but additional cards would be doubled.

New phone upgrade

I have had a tracfone for three years. I decided to upgrade to a newer model. I ordered it over the internet from TracFone. When it arrived I called them and the transfered my minutes and time and phone number to the new phone. They did a good quick job, and all is fine, they also gave me free two months service. I am happy and satisfied with their service concerning this transaction.

Poor Service

Purchased phone took a week to activate.  Tech service could not spak good english

good value

phones are good value, site takes some getting used to

Not impressed.

I'm not sure I would go through tracfone if I were to do it all over again.  First of all, when I called NOBODY spoke english.  It was frustrating trying to understand their accents & having to ask them to repeat words.  This is america!  On one occasion they called me saying they couldn't get my serial number to go through.  They kept me on-line for over an hour trying to fix it.  They continually kept telling me I was telling them the numbers incorrectly.  Finally, a manager got on the line saying that the phone call was an accident & I never should have been called. 

They did fix the problems eventually & did apologize, but it was just annoying. 

I am also confused about units.  Why not use minutes?
