Great success with eHarmony!

I was on eHarmony for a very short time, but after 3 dates I met a man I'm still with 7 months later. I found their personality matching to be accurate and the pre-open conversation questions really give you insight as to how they'd behave and treat you in every day life. The questions also give you the ability to ask questions you really want to know, but might be too embarrassed to ask initially. I'd recommend to go with at least the 3 month plan, but the 6 month plan is the best value. If you're tired of the games and really looking for someone that you're compatible with and is serious about meeting "the one" I highly recommend eHarmony!

Met my long term boyfriend on eHarmony

when I first tried eHarmony I was a little disappointed. I guess it's because I hadn't dated in so long and was very apprehensive. I was ready to quit after my 3rd date but I decided to hang in there. Sure enough my first date with my current boyfriend was magic. We hit it off, had plenty in common and were very attracted to one another. Six months later we're still together and doing very well. I would recommend eHarmony to anyone looking for a relationship. It really works.

Awful Waste of Time

eHarmony locks you in, makes you sign up for one of those 'automatic renewal' things hoping you'll forget to cancel your subscription on the last day.  And you HAVE to cancel it on the last day, because if you do it ahead of time, you can't access your potential dates!  Plus they set me up with my so celled 'matches' who were all hundreds of miles away.  Not ONE was a good match, even after spending 50 mintues filling out their 'patented personality profile for deep, meaningful connections'.  Thanks for nothing, Dr. Warren.

I used the site and you can cancel at any time and will receive matches and able to communicate up until your subscription expires. And you can select distance under your settings and have the option to select how important this is to you on a scale from not - somewhat - very. If you don't select "very" you could get matches further away depending on the number compatible people in your are. I never subscribed to eharmony.

Don't Do IT!

I joined thinking I would meet suitable people to date. Working in a hospital and not into the bar scene makes it difficult to meet people. I was very specific in my age and distance requirements for matches yet this information continues to be disregarded. I do not want to date someone old enough to be my father nor do I wish to date someone 3 hours away. Living in theWashington, DC area I thought there would be more age and distance appropriate matches for me. I have found this not to be the case. I am extremely disappointed with the service and continue only because I cannot get my money back. Once this "membership" is up I am getting out as fast as I can from this black hole.

If you change it to "very" important this won't happen. You should really give it another shot. I met someone and we're still dating 7 months later and couldn't be happier. Great Site

This site was great and really focused on what kind of person you are and what type of person you would really fit with.  I would highly recommend this site to anyone who needs a little boost in finding that special someone.

Not quite what I hoped for...

I was somewhat disappointed with this service.   I filled out lengthy questionaires about my likes/dislikes, habits/pastimes looking for someone who would be compatible.  I also specified a realistic distance that this person would live from me.  The feedback I got was that there would be matches available.

What I got were many 'flexible' matches instead where my criteria was ignored, age preference, distance, etc.  I probably didn't meet the criteria of these people either as most of them rejected me immediately as well for those very reasons.

I like the way the communication procedure goes with E-Harmony, but would not subscribe to this service again.
